A bit about me . . .
I am a graduate of Bellevue Senior High School and obtained both of my degrees from Bowling Green State University. In college I was a double major in both secondary English education and secondary social studies education with a minor in history and specializations in both psychology and sociology.
Long before I ever stepped foot in a classroom, I had a variety of jobs including short stints as a farm hand, a museum exhibit designer, a short-order cook, a theater usher, and a grist mill apprentice.
However, I never found a cure for the teaching bug, and I've been in front of students ever since graduating from B.G.S.U. Over the years I've taught at a number of high schools and college campuses before I came to Lorain, and during that time taught courses on African-American history, creative writing, contemporary world governments, film, and haiku.
Aside from my passion for teaching, I love to cook, travel, and laugh with my two boys.
